Mooreknoll Addition

This story begins with a family of six bursting at the seams of their 1300 sq. ft home in the Memorial area.  Needing more bedroom space and living space, the plan was a two story addition with garage space beneath.   Downstairs, an adult gameroom was designed with relaxation in mind.  Stained cabinetry along the back wall provides space for wine and refreshments, as well as a spot to hide all the electrical wiring for the flat screen T.V.  Large trimmed french doors and windows illuminate this little haven, and coupled with the Texas style leather furniture give this room a comfortable and refined feel.  Other unique details include wine glass storage, an engraved copper sink, and wine bottle cubbies.   In the living room, a fresh coat of paint on the ceiling beams, new handscraped wood floors, and a unique rounded wall in the entry to replace the outdated iron barrier give the downstairs a brand new look and feel.  A completely new upstairs contains a kid's gameroom with bar area, a bathroom with warm red cabinetry, and two bedrooms for the older children.  Custom wrought iron stair rails went in, and the space below the stairs holds built in lockers for each of the children with space for backpacks and shoes. This close knit family feels closer than ever, now that they all have their own space!
